Life and Love
Margaret W. Morley
Chicago: A.C. McClurg 1899.
Early printing, first published in 1895. Octavo, gray cloth with brown butterflies stamped to front cover, title to spine gilt, illustrations throughout by the author. A look at life and love in the primitive form and how it shapes the human form of love and that of the reproduction instinct in all. Morley was an educator and biologist and considered in her day an expert in agriculture and bee keeping. She resided in North Carolina. A beautiful copy with small dent to back cover near lower edge, pages toned, faint water stain and waving to lower edge of pages. A scarce title.
